MUSING

A little kid playing by the pond
Skipping, slipping, kicking a can
When the sun is hot, went beneath the tree
Pretending to recite a novel from memory
Disturbed by mosquitoes, wish a share of his blood
Gently shooing, smacking, forming a glob
Faint call from a distance far away beyond
Mom needs help to fill up the water drum
Spidery legs dash through the grassland
Scaring nesting quails and frogs on the ground
Empty kerosene can, as tall as he is
He fetched water from the well at ease
Quacking ducks must be feed with grain
Muddy, rowdy pigs are equally pain
Honking geese wants to pinch his legs
Begging for those precious tasty seeds
Stealthy chickens weren't forgotten
Flew to the seed basket and started eating
When all her chores were finally done
Back beneath the tree, by the pond

WILL BE FINE

Cruel elements brushed my face
Doesn't hurt, but brought me tears
Squinting to make full view
So cooled turning my hands blue

Been like this for so many days
Definitely impending on my tennis
Wish it get warmer just a bit
So I can stretch; these muscles are stiff

Probably from thinking nowadays
Getting worried too much; not my wishes
Be fine as sun goes up and weather is warm
So as the farmers go tend their farm

PRINCESS TO THE KID

Good night, don't want to hear no more
Reverberates from ceiling to the floor
Mere kid with pajama he did go
Feeling so sorry he told what he saw

Into the bosom of his blanket
Dreaming of not going to the net
Cause his hiney got beat
And his hands badly whipped

Wondering who is going to listen
Cute puppy or the jumpy little kitten
Not the princess; definitely
She has a lot to worry

Everything is quiet in the east
No heart broken, anger nor wet feet
Simple wish for a kid before going to sleep
Minute of hearty talk with the princess at least

I ENJOYED IT TOO(02/21/04)

Like red ants on wheels
With food baskets, rackets and friends
Brave the long darkened trails
On to the house shape like half moon
Man at the counter said
"You came soon"
"Well wait, we go up to the room"
Look like picnickers rather than players
Music box, soda bottles and beer coolers
Dress up to party with glitters, lovely
Smiles abound, greetings on the way
Ate first, that wasn't supposed to be
But that's how we say" we are happy"
Time to burn that carbo intake
In pairs we battled the net
Stroke for stroke, volley for volley
Hit a good one; an ecstasy
Pump that fist up the air
Contagious; brightened up the atmosphere
Enjoying so much, we wished more time
Ticking clock so powerful; tick you're gone
Believe me we have so much fun;
comeBe part of it and definitely you'll shine
My hand clasp I bow to you; thank you
I certainly very much enjoyed it too

TREE BY THE RIVER(02/20/04)

Gigantic tree's canopy, there I lay
Dreaming how the world could be
Beyond those clouds, the horizon
Would there be one like me, alone
Got up pick up the roundest stone
Cast to the river and glide by its own
Hits a ripple, goes airborne
For a kid like me, it is a phenom
By the grassy banks, frogs abound
Love to disturb them,
into the river they plunge
Never tried to catch them because they slime
So beautiful, shiny greenish yellow, brown
Water is crystal clear,
see fishes swimming
Stones unturned are coated with stringy green
Constantly dancing as the little shells cling
Reach down to touch the water
Felt something came to me, a power
Don't know what it was but still here

HANAUMA BAY

Love walking down the ocean floor
Watching numerous lovely creature
Awesome corrals breathe at ease
Seaweeds softly dancing with the waves
Sea anemone harbors those colorful fishes
Fish come so close to your face
Wondering what are you doing in their place
Some are so playful sign of intelligence
Pull your hair then quickly vanish
Some stare at your shiny lenses
Look you in your eyes and never flinch
Some swim along, playfully nudging
Touch 'em, they stop probably enjoying
Watch the sea urchins spiny and so beautiful
You got prick, it would be so painful
The long slimy Murray eel in her cave
Looking, ready to zap you with high voltage
On warm waters sea snakes abound
Be careful don't be alarm
They only bite when they get harm
If you want to see what I have seen so pretty
Go to Hawaii and snorkel at Hanauma Bay
St Croix, Bahamas, Jamaica, Guantánamo Bay
Grande Island, Gold Coast, Turtle Bay

YOU WISH

Must be sitting next to you
Saw things you saw too
You must have missed the sailing ship
One coming from your left

Hermit crab crawling on the sand
Keeping an eye on you where you stand
You must have missed my voice calling
Might have mistaken as seagulls laughing

Waves breaking as it crash to the rocks edges
As the little crabs scramble to the crevices
I'm just a cat with a funny tail
Looking at you my little Angel

Sea wishes that you won't dump toxic chemicals
Cause it definitely harm her body and her pals
Welcome to swim and watch the creatures down below
Fascinating; breath taking, myriad of colors they glow
If you ever swim or played with a fish
You wished you never put them in your dish

LET OUR DREAMS FLY

I look in your eyes so sad so blue
Whisper to your ears "can I hug you"
You lay your head on my shoulder
Then we started to sway over
To the tune we both remember
We happily and playfully sing along
If we forget words, we hum the song
You said "I'm feeling better now"
So do I, but I don't know how
How long will it last under the sunshine?
Starting to set and soon be gone
Feel the warm tears pouring from your eyes
Reach my handkerchief and wipe off dry
You squeeze tighter, I did respond
Rubbing your back with my warm hand
Turn your head, we look and close your eyes
We both kiss and let our dreams fly

ABOUT TO BEGIN

Fog is too thick I can hardly see
Follow the big truck along the way
Like a lifetime you can't foresee
Sooner I'll be where I should be
Still dark the bus is waiting
To take me to ship sailing
Bus can only take you to the gate
Have to walk a thousand feet
Lucky I have luggage with roller
But I have backpack on my shoulder
Braving the winter cold I proceed
Hoping I can catch some Z's on my bed
Didn't search my luggage nor my backpack
Wave me in and blended with the crowd
Went down the office to get the key
Up to my room there I lay
Phone rings, I know by then
Some evolution is about to begin

I ONLY WORK HERE

So many people with hard hats on
Red, white, blue, yellow, green, maroon
Converging in one place, buzzing like bees
Taking their sweet time as they please
Don't know who is working sometime
Nobody has ever broken the line
No wonder everything is so expensive
Productivity well below the stage
Too much paperwork trail
So many sitting on their tail
Are all of them suppose to be there
Don't know I only work here

EXOTIC TAN(INTOXICATE)(

Yes, you really intoxicate
With the toxic moves, I admit
Leave no space for imagination
There it is in heavenly motion
Ban from MTV is that fair
Don't have to watch
TV to see bare
Bowl Flash cascaded to extreme
Picking on artist, it seems
Watch NASCAR see bare metal
Nextel would be your pal
Ladies are on full dress
Smiling after a very long race

SALT WATER RAIN

Heard a scream and people scrambling
Saw salt water rain pouring from the ceiling
That wasn't supposed to happen
I'm tensed; I'm real concerned
Run as fast as I could
To stop the rain, I should
Didn't hesitate
I have to tell
Call my boss on my cell
Khaki uniforms converge
Assessing the extent of the damage
Blue guys did the clean up
With buckets, rags, brooms and swab
Sitting in a room; almost full
People asking questions; not good at all
"Two lights came on board
A roar and motor running on starboard"
Situation nobody can deny, the truth
Logical reason that's we are after
One of the valves did falter.

YOU'LL GET FATTER

Atkins thanks we carbo eating crowd
We aren't suppose to be saying this loud
Rice is our diet for life; a must
Meat, we don't eat that much
Prices went down, we can see
Loaf of bread a dollar, any day
Rice is almost the same
Chinese profits to the brim
Does it really make you thin?
High fat, low carbo you take in
Or just meat marketing ploy
Make their wives smiling with joy
Well my diet is simple
Eat less and exercise is better
Bonsai theory on your flatter
Don't believe it you'll get fatter

CAN I BE(02/11/04)

With a memory of a whale
Picking up groceries at will
Then patiently wait in line
Saw a pretty girl with her mom
"Mom, can I be a cashier?"
"For what reason my dear?"
"Buy groceries and get discount"
So innocent as it sounds
True meaning of life we live
Want to share and to save
How many of us today
Who feels this way?
Not so many on the sharing part
Just want to save a lot

TIME TO WAIT

Falcon is smarter everyday
Checking the bait at bay
Watching all corners of the world
Got a pass to watch the herd
Pretending to be dove
To catch those who dares to love
Very cunning like lizard
Can adapt to any place in the yard
Very successful in the previous venture
Caught everyone who got close to the lure
Smart as a falcon could be beat
Simple with patience; a time to wait

CRAVING

Lightning splits the sky
So much anger; so much power
Rolled into deafening thunder
Scared innocent baby cry

Muffled by the pouring rain
Washing away my footprints
Flow like a muddy river
Grounding flying feather

Beneath the tree, seek shelter
Tomorrow to wander
Looking for tiny ground dweller
To satisfy a craving, hunger

While I'm sitting here
Wondering what to write later

CLICK

Like a falcon circling its prey
Razor sharp talons ready
Waiting for target of opportunity
Swoop down clutching the critter in agony
Not a word spoken just a click
Paralyzing sound it makes
Disconnected from the outside world
Was having fun I could have heard
Regrets run high; churning mind
Looking for good reason
Can't find none; busted; done
As always I'm fine

POT OF LOVE

POT OF LOVE
Tiny bits of dust swirling around
A silhouette against the lovely sun
Hair flowing, yellow shirt, white hot pants
Sunglasses, barefoot braving the beach sand
She is walking towards me, she is getting closer
I have to turn my back as if I didn't really saw her
Sweet perfume I always remember, Ralph Laure
n'Darling can you get me drinks from the cooler"
"Get me the beach towel and a sun blocker"
"Anything else, umbrella for UV screen"
That's my girlfriend; she is so sweet
I'm her forever loving walking stick
This masterpiece; I called it Pot of Love
Because it's really a pot just like you have

HE'S INDIAN

I remember at Great Barrier Reef
Typhoon caught our ship
Rocked and tossed all night
Lost all navigation lights
50 foot seas rams like beast
Ripped stanchions from their seat
Survived that with minor bruises
Come to think about I'm blessed
After two days we were in Brisbane
A very nice place to be
despite that previous rain
Food and drinks you can't complain
Went to museum to see artifacts
They really insisted I don't bring my backpack
They have this place a pub,
there's no Queen allowed
It's all group of young lads drinking and very loud
New York Disco; where young people go
Dance all night long like crazy kangaroo
Eat beef pie douse it with sparkling wine
Drunk enough I could still see a straight line
Back to the ship plan to sleep all day
Got a phone call they needed an Asian to play
I showed up and heard them say
"He's not an Asian, he's Indian"
Then who am I? I could be anyone

HUBBLE WILL DO THE CHORE

We are printing pictures of what you two sending
For museum, zoo, aquarium, and planetarium
With the hope people would be calling
Their senators, congressmen, or even to the Chief

We are very enthusiastic to receiving wholesome gifts
Opportunity looks like hole in one
Stuck in a crater enough to give worry to anyone
Move out from the cradle not very far
If it is golf that is very makable par

Spirit is hardly breathing from hibernation
Created by some computer confusion
If you two are just taking picture
We could get the Hubble to do the chore

I COULD HAVE GUESSED

28X36 inches; that's right I think
Sitting precariously besides the sink
Hasn't been used for a long time
Take home or go out to dine
Time is so hectic its tiring
Cooking art is fast passing
Paper plates so convenient
For us refugee from the east
But I have to clean this gizmo
Three times a year; I guess so
Like playing Lego, everybody knows
It's all pop up plastic
Used the butter knife to disassemble it
Don't forget the water jet gasket
So you won't sprung a leak
The drain hose I almost forget
To check leaks and tightness
When was the last time you did this?
Well run it to make sure it works
Before you lay down on your porch

THAT WAS CLOSE

Raised my walking stick facing the morning sun
I screamed so loud it hurts my lungs
Majestic view of the sun;
looks so cool and so round
Leaves no doubt why they idolize this one
I bowed and looked as far as my eyes can see
Atop Mt Fuji is something
I still cherish today
Coming down is very tricky
Volcanic rocks, thick sand on the way
Made a brave venture away from the path
Skidded all the way down about half
Holes on my boots, pants and backpack
Sore, frightened I could have lost my life
If I didn't listen "Plant your stick, plant"
I plunged that stick as hard as I could
It got stuck and I did hold
Hoff! That was close, I was told

LOOKING SO FAR

LOOKING SO FAR(02/03/04)
Don't know what I stepped on
A bottle, a rock or ant's mound
When I stumbled and fall
Pretended I'm picking a ball
Cause I was looking so far
Finding my trusty old car
That will take me safely home
To write my lovely song
Didn't make it on time
Threw the rhythm of my mind
Left alone in frustrated mood
Should have watched my step; I should

I KNOW IT

Atop that ridge live Inoit
Drinking and smoking weeds
No longer speak of tribal adage
No longer raise reindeer for sausage
No more salmon to come to riverbanks
Everybody left the town besides the drunks
So cold, minus ten is like summertime
School is not fun; all homework to be done
Work nowhere to be found;
besides gimmy fund
No phones, no TV,
no restroom; nature by design
Winchester 30-30 his prized possession
From time to time bags a bighorn
Boredom is his friend;
Corona is his girlfriend
Wasting away in the wilderness plain
Some can not take it anymore
Have one last glimpse at the barrel's bore
Startled the bald eagle from its lore
One has just left the native floor

BOWL FLASH

Janet, marvelous I saw it too
Every corner of the world is on you
Should have worn a total rip-out
Could have heard the world shout

Was a quick glimpse, a beauty
Worthy talking over a cup of tea
Media had unending frenzy
Your life story on E

What would happened to MTV
Aha! VH1 would be
Bring beauties that can sing
To keep these things going

FRD OPEN

FRD OPEN(02/01/04 SCOTTSDALE, AZ)
Gallery is so rowdy nowadays
Screaming, jeering and calling names
Must be the influx of switching fans
Where noise is necessity, must be done
Chris with familiar underhand putt
Make birdies so easy like petting a cat
Found his way to the top
Bunker on 16th caused him a lot
Phil is at winning pace for days
Trying so hard led to many near misses
Vijay put a relentless pursuit
Only to run out of holes to shoot
Jonathan following Chris line twice
Made birdies so easy,
so nice16 ahead by one;
17 ahead by two18

PATRIOTS BY THREE

Well the day has come
To watch the phenoms
Battle the pigskin loom
Into the turf of gridiron
Know you guys are ready
This ever glorious Sunday
Have you put your bet today?
Patriots over panthers by three
Great male bonding
Girls this is our evening
To fire up that giant plasma screen
Fill those coolers up to the brim
When it start put your earplugs on
We'll be screaming top tune
Take those breakables far from reach
It will surely shatter and go to waste
Keep the foods cooking
Barbecue beef, pork or chicken
No chips, no pizza, no soda for us
With all this excitement we'll have gas.
