01 bird's eyeview

120807 bird’s eye view
(i'm trying to write series
of poems to take you to a journey
few poets have done on this generation.
i hope that you will enjoy it. God
bless.)

part I

arm’s length away
i could see
threads on your dress
sweat on your legs

close to mine
i could feel
your warmth
i could hear
your heart beats

i give you kiss
you pretend
it didn’t touch
yet, you’re quiet
with close eyes

you give me hug
when i'm not expecting
you wipe off my sweat
and touch my lips

writing on the hill
we are like dots
we don’t mean much
to rejoicing clouds

rocks of love
They’re to stay
above grass
overlooking the bay

02 bird's eyeview

part II arm’s length away

dirt road slicing
daffodils hill
well hidden
like teardrops
along your eyelashes
can only be seen
when we are kissing

spokes of bicycle
purring, struggling uphill
tires catapulting gravel
whitening knuckles
gripping handlebar
straining muscles
overcoming obstacles

in a distance
you seem to be
walking on flowers
your hair floating on air
but i’m so close i could see
threads on your dress
sweat on your legs

03 bird's eyeview

part III close to mine

i gave you a push
you raise your legs
onto handlebar
gliding down
valley; i come
rolling, tumbling
lots of fun

i didn’t get up quick
i laid down and wait
feeling cool ground
soothing my bruises
i saw bloom, so close
i kiss with my nose

with a glimpse
you’re blocking sun
as you run closer
to where i am
you ask me, if i’m ok
then you lay close to mine

04 bird's eyeview

part IV i give you kiss

birds flying low
feathery clouds too
elephant grass flowers
betray soft wind
drifting across plain
like snow flurries

i can hear giggles of joy
from kids discovering their toy
not far, a short walk over hill
they are having fun, i could tell
one of their toys went astray
i pick it up and launch it away
it sputters then pick up speed
went up, nobody knows who did

i went back to where you are
in midst of grass, a knee high
skirting side of rolling hills
overlooking bay with colorful sails
you are lying, hands on your chest
your eyes are close, i give you kiss

05 bird's eyeview

part V you give me hug

swarming tiny yellow blooms
mingle with three petaled violets
and sprinkle of crawling reds
cradled by skinny grass blades
enough to attract roaming bees
lovingly leaving me in peace

dragonflies are flying high today
it will be a while before rainy day
palm leaves flirting with breeze
by docks overflowing with tourist
urge to walk down boardwalk borne
thirst for refreshment; fresh popcorn

i took your hand and pull you up
i skidded and you fell on my lap
look at each other, we both laugh
took your bicycle offered me ride
i told you. we should walk side by side
you smile so sweet, you give me hug

part VI writing on hill

birds are circling overhead
maybe jealous of what we did
perhaps they are nesting herein
from birds’ eye view, we are specks
two dots traversing field of green
slowly encroaching on their domain

three visible lines from top of a hill
then i thought of writing something
that can be seen so many miles away
it could be simple and easy to say
made a sharp turn to left, forty paces
went up for big circle, traverse down left
traverse up right, resting at bottom of E

i heard screams from boardwalk, loud
pointing to where we are lying down
i guess they got our message clear
something you and me desire to hear
sometimes we are on pages of forgetting
blame not yourself but start by saying

07 bird's eyeview

part VII rocks of love

tourist are coming to join us
taking pictures; lying on grass
forming a beautiful word love
took turns standing in mids of O
asking lots of question, who we are
we smile and they are loving it so far

i started slowly putting rocks on letter
then all of a sudden we are altogether
forty paces, a real challenge to cover
thanks to mother nature, rocks all over
we work like well seasoned stevedores
we sweat, sing, joke and laughter pours

time passed; rock solid word is form
we didn’t expect personal in return
besides a satisfying feeling building
and photo with our smile to remember
amazing how we want to be a part
of anything popular, worthy or not

031909A gift

i was awakened by unspoken wish
from somewhere far, i could guess
i reach my cellphone; quickly press
my password to whatever she please
i’m lucky for this try, i must admit
sometimes it just ask for message

we are therping for moments time
so mellow i could taste like lime
when you ask me if you could cry
i said “why not go” with little sigh
minutes pass almost half an hour
talk is over and you forgot to cry

031809A rocker on far east moon II

maybe they got use to you on tv
didn’t come to watch you play
or maybe you have same songs
that every kid knows the tunes
i felt sadness i must confess
pinoys didn’t put out their best

do we see dusking of the moon
sun worshipers will see you soon
keep head high though not fruitful
there are still hardened rock souls
hoping when you get where i’m at
recession has subside or going flat

you know fans always go for winner
happy breed, good follower forever
you can do what nascar did lately
increase perks; tickets on economy
so i will watch you when you come
i’m certain this would be last time

yes you could end in another band
you can’t sing songs i really want
hey! that’s future it hasn’t start
you’ll be their believe it or not
i guess my pen is almost dried out
you’re good; i love that pinoy “shout”

030309 rocker on far east moon

i know you’re going home
to sing your rocking songs
thanks for giving them
what they are waiting for
now you don’t have to scream
pinoy, when they’re on frenzy
that’s your home i would say

i’m away but i’m truly happy
knowing you’re there to play
wish you come to virginia
cause my girl went on gaga
we will be watching you
with pants; yellow banana
jumping like excited dinka

wish many will come
ate glo; i love her to show
would be proud of you too
wish you won’t forget people
so poor in so much trouble
they don’t rock but know
a good singer with sparkle
