happy mother's day "inang"

for a moment of a beautiful day
i'm picturing who you are to me
i can't keep myself from smiling
great days; it's really inspiring

i remember the buri tales
between bonding rice bales
we have good laugh at it
tiredness we soon forget

your love is second to none
everybody thought you're magician
very persistent, patient everyday
i wish i will be like you someday

you're always in my mind
especially when storms come
i'm wary you're laughing at me
your son; what else could i be

... my very proud mother;
she desn't like free b. she never
beg for anything. i did a lot of things
that made her cry but she always end up
with smile. i always thought women are
like you are... they ain't. im trying
to make you proud of your grand kids.
darwin could be right???
yeey...my tears are falling. happy mother's
day inang and ALL OF YOU MOTHERS.

Revisiting...

CLOUDS OF QUEST

Whereever I go, I'm searching for that beauty
That floated over the calmness of the mist
Those enchanted eyes piercing my soul
Lifted my heart over the clouds of quest
From those full lips, lusted for kisses.

In my dreams that transcend to waking day
Throbbing chest resists not true feelings
From a mere glimpse to a full grown longing
Must I have been hypnotized to the brink of lunacy
Heavens forsake; I still have something left
To crawl back to the river as time becomes thief
Of happiness that I always crave turns agony.

Could I be one of those who talks on their sleep
Calling name, whispering to the vanishing bleep
Scribbling on wee hours of dawn, a pity to a man
Amazingly brilliant to those who can understand
Yes, here I am staring at the brightness of my PC
Pouring feelings coming from deep inside of me.

FATE CAN PLAY

Immense as far as your eyes can see
Blooming, a field of daffodils in harmony
Blowing, the wind going home to the sea
Grass so defiant is swaying peacefully
With butterflies gently flapping their wings,
Patiently searching to satisfy longings.

Two little kids chasing dragonflies
Catching, holding and letting them fly
Running across the vast of green
Sprinkled with yellow flowering gems
Sliding down the hill and resting on the mound
Nestled in a town, this scenic playground.

He picks lovely prairie flowers for her
Smile on her face he remembers
A peek on her cheek, innocence unconcealed
Holding hands hopping across the field
Faces aglow and happily they go
Savoring these wonders they know.

Many years have easily passed by
Kids no more, their fate still in play
Amidst exchange of verses in a hollow
Two minds unearth same story of long ago
In the valley of memories, dreams often pray
Answer granted in a mysterious way.

MAGLEV

Can you imagine fastest land ride in Shanghai
For 270MPH, that's about a blink of an eye
Where you will be in thirty minutes then
Past my workplace to be exact my friend
In Japan they're testing, 310MPH from standstill
At one time they reach 360MPH for a three car dash
Really fast, Guinness Book of Records got that flash.

Straddle the tracks about haft of its height
Levitate by four inches and glide over magnetic field
In case of power loss, wing flaps and retractable wheels deploy
Like a roller coaster ride; it gives you excitement and joy
Houses close to railway, forget windows made of glass
At top speed, that glass will surely crush
Hope they develop a magnetic shield
For your electronic gadgets and your health.

This technology is too young; rivals the airplane
Should we wait or proceed with the game
We can wait for the invention of high temp conductor
We have the means to make that alloy and more
Or we just do what we did to HDTV
Block it from coming in till we are ready
But why does Germany park their program at bay
They found out too expensive for their money
In Shanghai, must have uncovered unfavorable chemistry

Price tag, $274M per mile, plus mark up we always have
From San Diego to LA, that would be $50B bucks
A drop in the bucket compared to going to Mars
Bad for air industry and maybe to some cars
Would you like this in your state
Good relief for bumper to bumper traffic
Plus you could have extra minutes sleep
And of course a little time to write in internet.

LETTER WIZARD

When a man stands in front, that's absolutely so human
When a man stands behind, that's where he's from
When a woman stands in front, war has just begun
When a woman stands behind, what a lovely sound.

Could be moving so slow
Floating, going with the flow
Could be moving so fast
Excited or just passion blast.

Could be turning round and round
Nobody notices it but time
Sometimes it's too cold to withstand;
It's too hot you wish you had stayed behind

You don't want to miss your kid to say
Want to hear from your girlfriend everyday
Makes you feel happy, makes you feel bad
But you always wish you're the first to have.

Makes a man out of a lad
Brings wrath to the leather clad
Now, who really needed that piece
Besides an ornament by my beautiful fireplace.

RUN, SWAN RUN !

Into the night, where the music beat
Sending tremors to pounding feet
Flashing light, swaying limbs, happy faces
In concert, in peace
Wine flows like spring at its best
Food in abundance grease their lips
Flesh eating monster awake
Spit you in the gutter in a blink.

Dimly lit house up the road
So quiet, so calm besides a croak of a toad
Weary drunken man lays by the porch
Whining puppy craving for food
Beauty has receded to the corners
Overcome with clatters and broken bottles
Lady of the house has been gone sometime
No love, not even a sign.

Swan, you can't hide by the grassy knoll
Besides, the pond is too small
Be careful on the marsh
Creatures there are so harsh
You can stay beneath my chrysanthemum
Watch my ducks at full moon
There gain your strength and go on
Worry me not, I'm just playing with my plume.
