Loving Nature, My Way

Sun is up rejoicing as it looks around his garden, peeking through windows to say how are you with a warm shine on your face or just ribbons of light filtering through glass and luminous dust floating as if it has a life of its own.

Birds come chirping to the tune of their own language not yet understood by mankind, but they are like us. As they wake up to the calling of nature, they too, need nourishment as well as love. When they are happy, they sing a lively melody, when sad - mourning in silence up a tree or jumping around pretending looking for seeds in your backyard.

Plants tend to reach up to heaven wishing to gravitate with the sun and in the process, they have unrestricted growth upwards. Hmmm, could you imagine yourself in that situation...aay! You will be spending all your salary in clothing. They are there to please the sun; they even change colors, bear flowers, bear fruits and of course give us shade to mingle with our fellow food consumers and talkers. Unfortunately, we, ungrateful creatures want to cut them down to satisfy our greed of owning something that we just leave there rotting to the tune of time. Oh, yes, we show them with pride to our friends. That’s all about it.

For us lovers, we cut flowers to give to our loved ones as a token of love. I’m sure that plant has feelings as shown by dripping sap after you cut the flower. Ah, never mind that they speak language unknown to us or they are there for a purpose. I'm just guilty as you are. I love giving flowers. It's exhilarating to see recipients with happy sparkling eyes as soon as they touch the flowers. “Hmmm this is for me,” they smell it, they give you kiss or a hug.

By my window, I'm watching how grass is kissing sidewalks with its jaded blade. It's like cradling, pushing towards the sun, at the same time attracting creatures of all kinds. I'm not an exception. With a sip of orange juice, I marvel at the nature’s beauty in total calmness like a frog ready to devour an unsuspecting mosquito that'll disappear in milliseconds without a trace. Not even the CSI can figure it out. That’s my panoramic view of mother earth. As I wake up so early, I watch the whole as it transcends from darkness to brightness. It is some kind of a ... showing me slow motion changes of colors or slowly feeding my brain with information that nobody ever could. I reciprocate by writing what I see, though not so picturesque, I do try in my own sincere way.
