Sonnet for a Swan
the beautiful moon must have hidden
unwilling to shed light to the maiden
walking bare back by the frozen pond
she must have left something behind
might be waiting for it to thaw
swim by the moonlight as she used to
maybe dull moments that came along
so quiet not even faint of a song
whatever it is, don't walk on the pond
it will crack and you'll surely drown
go to the garden and ponder memories
i know i planted lots of roses
you could touch, you could smell
please don't pick, i'll surely tell
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
in response to :
absence of familiarity
day ending reluctantly…
a swan
unwilling to leave
a frozen pond ...passingby
