i'm on green

i'm on green

holding the ball close to me
counting dimples dilligently
while i wait for my turn to tee
i got eight for the par three

watch their balls go left or right
with a very unique take-off flight
with mumbles enough to be heard
frustration must have lingered

i walk slow with determination
to stick that ball close to pin
swing the club in perfect motion
with lots of prayers, i'm on green.
